However, Ty Farris sounds quite sincere on his latest single “I Promise.” Alongside another Detroit representative in Royce 5’9″, Farris attacks the cold-blooded beat with syllable cyanide, declaring how he’ll unquestionably be holding down his hood long after his hard work pays off. Yet, not in the ‘still on the block at 40’ fashion that holds back so many folks with dreams and no desire. More like the, ‘I got some money, now let’s make some together’ kind of way – which is much more productive.
