The Philadelphia 76ers were 14-50 heading into last night’s game against the visiting Kings. Sacramento isn’t doing much better this season at 22-41 before the game, which is why George Karl started patrolling the sidelines for them after the All-Star break.

The Sixers won the game, 114-107, even though DeMarcus Cousins had 39 points and 24 rebounds; it’s not a good sign for Karl and the Kings if they waste an effort like that by DMC. But the fun and hilarious Sixers were just that when they stuck it to Karl after the game:

The snapchat shade came from an ESPN Insider roundtable piece in September when George was still working for the Worldwide Leader. Here’s the full quote by Karl from the piece:

Karl: What is happening in Philadelphia should not be called “tanking”; rather, it should be called “destruction.” The Sixers are at least three to five years away from even being a respectful — respectful — NBA roster. They are worse than they were at the end of last year. Three of the five starters barely played last season. I understand building around talent, but people have to understand that sometimes young players just don’t develop. You put all your eggs in that basket, but if the kids don’t pan out, you’re sunk.

As we already know, Snapchat photos don’t actually disappear (nothing on the Internet ever does), but neither do incendiary quotes from a previous job.
