Here’s Paul George Throwing Down An East Bay Funk Dunk Less Than A Year After Breaking His Leg

It was last August when Paul George broke his leg after landing on a basket stanchion during a Team USA scrimmage. Since then, he’s slowly made strides to return to the court, culminating in his official return late in the 2014-15 NBA season. He even dunked in a game.

Still, despite the promising return, Pacers fans are still wondering if PG-13 — now official after this number change — will ever return to the form that saw him make the All-Star team in 2013 and 2014 while winning the Most Improved Player award in 2013. He turned into one of the deadliest two-way wings in the league, capable of lighting up the opposing team, while shutting down their top player.

Hopefully, these recent Instagram videos of George dunking during a Nike promotional tour stop in the Philippines, show just how much of his athleticism has returned.

We can now tentatively hope for the George of old to dazzle us on the hardwood next season. And we’ll all have to give him some serious props if he can. Some of us didn’t even think he’d walk after seeing his leg snap, so to do this is truly inspiring.
