This Tribute Video Chronicles Steph Curry’s Rise From Scrawny Kid To NBA Champion

Before Steph Curry was a lightly-recruited prep star, he was simply the son of a NBA sharpshooter. Before he became a national phenomenon with Davidson College during the 2008 NCAA Tournament, he was just another small-school stud feasting on low-level competition.

Before Curry was named First Team All-Rookie, he was a ‘tweener guard who many deemed without a position. Before he became basketball’s preeminent marksman, he was known mostly for ankle problems that put his potentially stellar future in doubt. Before he made his All-Star debut in 2014, he was the most notable snubbed from the midseason festivities. Before he won MVP, he was a 40-1 preseason shot to hoist the Maurice Podoloff Trophy.

And before Curry led the Golden State Warriors to their first championship in 40 years, many still believed he was incapable of being the premier player on a title team.

What naysaying will the “The World’s Greatest” prove wrong next? Maybe nothing. After all, Curry hasn’t left much more room for doubt.
