Kawhi Leonard Drilled The Game-Sealing Jumper To Sink The Wizards

Kawhi Leonard continues to establish himself as one of the game’s best all-around players. The reigning two-time Defensive Player of the Year has also become one of the NBA’s best and most efficient scorers. On Friday night against the Wizards, with time winding down in the fourth and the game knotted up at 105-105, Leonard knocked down the go-ahead jumper to seal the victory for San Antonio.

Leonard finished with 23 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and behind the arc, to go along with five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 points and five rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting. The Spurs also got 19 points from Pau Gasol.

The struggling Wizards have now lost two in a row and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. Bradley Beal led the way for Washington with 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and was a perfect 5-of-5 from behind the arc. Marcin Gortat had a monster double-double with 21 points and 18 rebounds, while John Wall added 17 points and 15 assists.

The Wizards will try to get back on track when they travel to Brooklyn to play the Nets on Monday.
