Carmelo Anthony isn’t an especially explosive leaper. Rudy Gobert is quite possibly the most feared shot blocker in the NBA. Put them together and you have one of the most vicious blocks of the 2015-16 season.
During Wednesday night’s game between Utah and New York, Anthony beat his defender and drove to the rim, but he was immediately met by Gobert. The Stifle Tower didn’t back down from Anthony, who went up for a dunk. This led to Gobert swatting the ball like it was nothing.
