Battlestar Galacti-car: The Street Legal Viper

(Holy Sh-t Cat cannot believe it.)

First and foremost, I have to give credit here, that terrible headline comes courtesy of jalopnik.com. I just knew that unless I stuck the word “Galacti-car” in here somewhere, you’d never have believed that it existed.

Anyway, if you happen to frequent Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, NY, than you may already know master ride mechanic, Dean Shorey -or as the internets are beginning to call him “that dude who drives the intergalactic Pu–y Wagon“. After acquiring over 20 partially restored vehicles, Dean decided to strive for greatness and build his very own, street legal, Viper Starfighter from the original Battlestar Galactica.

*begins to slow clap, no one else in room applauds*

The front end of the fighter was constructed using an old postal jeep and runs thanks to a small-block Chevy V-8 engine. The Viper seats one person and has a working cassette player, so in case your La Cucaracha horn is broken, you can still manage to draw attention from everyone who regrets not outfitting their own ride to resemble a spaceship from Battlestar Galactica. Yup, all thirteen of them.

Additional photos after the jump.
