Chris Hardwick And James Corden Give ‘Star Wars’ Some Christmas Cheer In Their Latest Duet

With late December approaching, it’s getting awfully close to that special time of the year. You can’t escape it–from the ads on television to the people dressing and acting a bit more cheerfully. I am, of course, talking about the premiere of the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, but it turns out people also enjoy Christmas, too.

With that in mind, host of The Late Late Show, James Corden, and Nerdist extraordinaire Chris Hardwick decided to combine the two by updating the lyrics to “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire).” Donned in their Yoda-ear’d apparel, Corden and Hardwick (with a Chewie and a Stormtrooper-fronted band), decided to remind people about the joy of seeing BB-8 on the big screen and made it clear that Han shot first.

You know, it’s odd that this is the first time someone’s decided to mix Star Wars and Christmas together. Yup, nothing else seems to stick out.
