Bebop And Rocksteady Stampede Into Their Very Own ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ Trailer

As henchmen (henchbeasts?) are wont to do, Bebop and Rocksteady aren’t content to simply co-star in the parade of trailers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. They’d like one for themselves, please and thank you.

A brand new trailer for June’s big TMNT blockbuster has stampeded into view with the spotlight placed on New York City’s most fearsome (yet silly) jacked-up humanoid mutant rhino + warthog combo out there. Bebop (played/voiced by Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (played/voiced by WWE mainstay Sheamus) terrorize turtles, get in their own quips, and literally bust through the trailer itself. If you’re someone that’s disgusted by Michelangelo’s lack of regard for NBA player safety, this preview might convince you that the baddies are actually the good guys on the hunt to eliminate this DeAndre Jordan harming menace.

C’mon, look at this sympathetic face! Granted, it’s made after Rocksteady wreaks supreme havoc on a plane, but still!

Sheamus (or Stephen Farrelly if you prefer his government name) shared with the press what it was like to juggle being a Brogue Kicking wrestlegent with his Ninja Turtles gig. It sure as sugar doesn’t sound easy, but the Irish sports entertainer says it was a blast being on set.

“When I got offered the opportunity, I was just concerned it was going to interfere with the WWE schedule.”

“For example, the last two days, I was doing the [Turtles] press junkets and everything and then I just jumped in the car yesterday [afternoon after interviews,] drove up to Albany, wrestled last night, then came back last night. So, it was pretty hectic. [During filming,] I was going on a live-event tour from Friday, Saturday, Sunday and doing RAW Monday and jumping on a plane, landing in New York at 4 in the morning to be on set at 7. That was the biggest obstacle or thing I was worried about, but it was so much fun on set. It was so much fun working with all these guys, that no matter how tired you were, the minute you hit that set, the energy was up and it was time to play.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will emerge from the sewer and make its way to theaters on June 3, 2016.
