You think your relationship is everything you’ve ever hoped and dreamed for? That may be true, and if so we’re very happy for you. But one London man went above and beyond to make his marriage proposal as memorable as possible for his girlfriend, and it might set another standard for everyone else’s significant others down the road. Because Anisha’s favorite show of all time (yes, of all time) is FriendsMitesh decided to go all out and recreate the famous “couch in front of a fountain” opening credits tableau for when he popped the question. (Ignore for a moment that most of Friends was actually just an extended series of breakups, and the idea is a pretty adorable one.) The proposal was arranged by The Proposers, a unique marriage proposal planning company based in London. According to their PR rep, The Proposers have created over 625 proposals in 3 years.

Lest you assume this is a pretty straightforward proposal – he didn’t sky dive out of a plane that was skywriting the big question across the sky or anything – there are some difficult logistics here. First of all, just finding a random couch and figuring out how to get it into the exact right place is hard enough already. That must have taken at least some minor groveling to his friends and the promise of a six pack or two as thanks. Plus, with all the lights and lanterns placed around the area some sort of permit was probably required. Otherwise he’s just chancing starting a fire in a public space (way to live life on the edge, Mitesh!). And beyond all that, he had to either pay a group of musicians or once again convince his friends to help out in order to get a bunch of people to sing an acoustic version of “I’ll Be There For You.”

Given all of this, it’s not only a sweet idea that Mitesh had to make his future wife happy but a potentially expensive and logistically complicated one as well. If your boyfriend doesn’t go this all out when he puts a ring on your finger don’t worry about it, we’re sure it’s just because he is saving that time, energy, and money to plan your future life together. Hopefully.
