Watch Questlove And Anthony Bourdain Talk Cronuts And Cap’n’Crunch

Filling a familiar role as interviewer, Anthony Bourdain sat down with Questlove, the hardest working man in show business, for a chat about the role food plays in his life, and the connection between the worlds of food and music. The conversation took place in order to promote The Roots drummer’s new book something to food about: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs and the entire thing will make you jealous. Bourdain and Questlove are two living, breathing, examples of life goals, and if I could live some sort of hybridized version of these two men’s lives, I could die happy.

In the short chat, Questlove shares what Cronut inventor Dominique Ansel has in common with underground rappers, his motivation for his foodie FOMO-inducing Instagram posts, and one of the best perks of being in The Tonight Show band (the answer, of course, has to do with free food).

While I harbor a healthy level of envy of these two giants of the worlds of food and music, I did learn that Questlove and I do already have something in common: our favorite cereal. Questlove rightly agrees, that Peanut Butter Crunch is the best. I may not have a Grammy, but I think I’ll pick up a box on the way home.
