Dolphin/Human Relations Seem To Be On The Upswing With These Two Chill Bros Sharing A Wave

It wasn’t that long ago that things were not going well between man and dolphin. After the death of a baby dolphin at the hands of a crowd that wanted to take a selfie with the poor animal, it would have been understandable if the entire species gave us humans the middle finger and stopped doing awesome stuff for us to gawk at. However, the lords of the ocean are far more benevolent than we are, so they deigned to do even more cool sh*t this week.

Australian surfer Soli Bailey posted a photo to his Instagram of his latest wave, which he happened to share with a dolphin. This is some next level natural kismet. Bailey is truly living the dream.

Look at those two chill bros, just sharing some gnarly surf. While many will probably call foul and claim that the photo is a fake, the above video points to the veracity of the interaction. There are a lot of things that make you go “that is SO Australia,” but a surfer dude sharing some rad waves with his new dolphin friend has got to rank pretty high on the Australian scale.

Nature is awesome, you guys.
