Holy crap.
Is there any more sincere of a reaction to the new trailer for Ip Man 3? The final installment in the Hong Kong trilogy about the martial arts legend of the ’50s looks incredible. And really, when was the last time Mike Tyson (Mike Tyson!!!) looked this cool? Well, maybe during The Hangover, but “cool” is a highly subjective term. This time around, Tyson’s actions won’t be left in Vegas, and the cinematic world will be better for it.
The Chinese actor and stuntman Donnie Yen returns as Ip Man, battling several forces of not-good across the length of the kinetic trailer, including a brutish boxer played by… you guessed it – Tyson. The action moves swiftly and with entertaining precision all leading to a face to face showdown with Tyson, whose character is called “Frank” as per IMDB.
Ip Man 3 is expected to arrive in the U.S. in limited release this Friday. Let’s hope the flick is as exciting as this whirlwind of a trailer makes it out to be.
