The Fellowship From ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Becomes The ‘Suicide Squad’ In This Mashup

A motley crew gathers for a mission that will likely be their last, but no one thinks twice when the world is about to burn. And so, a mission is undertaken. And a trailer is made. And it’s set to Bohemian Rhapsody. That’s The Fellowship of the Suicide Squad in a nutshell, another fun mashup from The Unusual Suspect, who brought the world wonderful videos such as Linkin Park’s In The End Sung By 183 Movies (that you must watch even if you don’t like Linkin Park).

In this particular mashup, The Unusual Suspect rightfully points out the similarities between DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad, and then cuts a nifty trailer to the very same song in the Suicide Squad trailer. Unfortunately, the similarities end there, because, you know, Gandalf, Frodo, Gimli and Legolas were good guys. The Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadshot and Killer Croc are all convicted, mass-murdering psychopaths. But – there’s no denying that the fellowship was a suicide squad of sorts. And there’s no denying the power of queen.

The connection would work better with a classic suicide mission full of death row inmates – 1967’s Dirty Dozen, which is still awesome, and still has one of the most intense scenes ever thanks to Jim Brown’s highly underrated acting.

The Fellowship of the Suicide Squad sure sound good though.
