Does ‘The Force Awakens’ Opening Crawl Hold A Secret For The Next Two ‘Star Wars’ Films?

There have been plenty of great theories to pop out of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, some full of spoilers pertaining to events that happen in the movie. But what about the possible spoilers that hit you before the movie even begins? One theory over at Mic says there is a spoiler right in the opening crawl of the film:

See it? Of course not. But they explain themselves a bit:

How about now? There’s a missing pair of commas, first found by Mic’s sharp-eyed branded content editor, Joel Topcik. The crawl reads, “With the support of the Republic, General Leia Organa leads a brave resistance. She is desperate to find her brother Luke and gain his help in restoring peace and justice to the galaxy.”

It should read, “She is desperate to find her brother, Luke, and gain his help in restoring peace and justice to the galaxy.”

Now what we’re getting here is the Star Wars equivalent to what we saw in Kevin Smith’s Dogma or some sort of Holy Blood, Holy Grail situation. Essentially, Luke and Leia are siblings from the same mother, but they’re not necessarily the only children Darth Vader ever conceived during his time around the galaxy.

It’s a stretch for more reasons than one. I’m instantly drawn to the fact that Anakin Skywalker was a one woman man up to the point he became a robot monstrosity, making it difficult to plant his seed around the known universe. I could be wrong, and we might see some freaking happenings in the next two episodes of the new trilogy, but it’s hard to believe.
