Did you know there’s more to the Halloween ultimatum classic “Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet” than its title, followed by, “Give me something good to eat/If you don’t, I don’t care/I’ll pull down your underwear?” I did not (I also just realized the song could send you to jail, what with its message of, “Give me candy, or show your goodies”), but according to this not-at-all poorly designed website, there are alternates versions, including:
Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give me something nice to eat,
If you don’t we don’t care,
We’ll put money in your underwear
That one’s a little sketchy and stripper-y, so let’s try another iteration.
Trick or treat, you’re so neat,
Give me something good to eat,
Nuts and candy, fruit and gum,
I’ll go away if you give me some.
Ugh. It’s nuts and gum, people, I’m glad Jimmy Fallon stuck to the original when he performed the song as 1960s-era Bob Dylan during last night’s Late Night taping with the Roots. I know one guy who was a fan:
Dude didn’t get the message that everyone else wasn’t attending the show dressed as pink clowns.
I want more like this!
