Trent Reznor FaceTimed With An Ailing Fan Who Has Months To Live During A Nine Inch Nails Show

Andrew Youssef is a talented photojournalist who has taken pictures of some of the biggest names in rock. Unfortunately, he’s put his concert-going on hold because last month he found out “the new clinical trial medication did not improve my [stage four colon cancer] as my most recent CT scan showed my disease has worsened…I have weeks to months to live.” That comes from a recent post Youssef wrote entitled “In This Twilight,” part of his series for the OC Weekly about coping with his disease.

It’s also the name of a song by Nine Inch Nails, one of his favorite bands. Trent Reznor is a fan of Youssef, too, and after developing a friendship, Reznor invited his newly-found BFF to two NIN shows: one on November 8th in Los Angeles, and the other on November 16th in Las Vegas.” Youssef attended the first, but was too sick to go to the second. So Reznor called him. During the concert.

Best seat in the house.
