The last time Justin Bieber was on television to chat with with Jimmy Fallon, he and Questlove engaged in a bit of a drum-off. Things did not go so well for Beibs, as he was “obliterated” and shamed by The Roots’ drummer extraordinaire.
Five years later, Fallon set the stage for a rematch between the two — attempting to capitalize on that super maturity Justin is feeling these days — and the result was actually much closer. By the end of it, all Quest could do is walk off the stage in disbelief that he was almost bested by the young Bieber child from the North. It’s sorta like The Devil Went Down To Georgia, but the Devil is stopping by a late-night show and he’s a little chodeling who throws eggs at houses. And he wins. That’s actually kinda frightening.
