Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ed Sheeran And More Are Reissuing Their Vinyl To Fight Cancer

If you’re looking for a way to justify dropping a little extra cash to expand your vinyl collection, you’ll be able to buy some physical copies of your favorite music and fight cancer at the same time on Sept. 27 for the third-annual Ten Bands One Cause initiative.

Anthrax, The Black Keys, Courtney Barnett, Ed Sheeran, Jim Breuer & The Loud & Rowdy, My Chemical Romance, NOFX, Opeth, Pixies and Red Hot Chili Peppers will all reissue limited-edition pink vinyl, with proceeds benefiting Gilda’s Club NYC to support cancer patients and their caregivers. The albums will be available for purchase at retailers nationwide wherever vinyl is sold.

Gilda’s Club NYC is named for Gilda Radner, the famed comedian and original cast member of Saturday Night Live, who passed away from cancer at age 42 in 1989. The organization was co-founded by Gene Wilder (Radner’s then-husband), and numerous others to provide a place where cancer patients and their families could find support, resources, and a caring community.

Additionally, Bull Moose, an independent retail chain based in Portland, Maine, will donate $1 for each of the next 1,000 subscribers to the Ten Bands One Cause’s Spotify playlist, which can be viewed here:
