Stephen Colbert Describes The Horror Of Riding The Bus, Offers Showers To St. Vincent, David Byrne

Last night, with much of New York City still in the dark, Stephen Colbert shared a heartbreaking tale of his own personal suffering in Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath: Mayor Bloomberg’s post-Sandy three riders per car rule forced him to take the bus.

“They never even pulled out the drinking cart,” Colbert said. “I felt like Viggo Mortensen in ‘The Road’.”

Additionally, Colbert had David Byrne and St. Vincent on the show, where they were interviewed and performed. Highlight: Colbert proposing they all take a shower together after he learned that Byrne and St. Vincent are both still without power. The look on her face is kind of great.
