The 7-Year Old Nebraska Cornhuskers Kid Got His Own Football Card

By / 04.17.13

Earlier this month, the Nebraska Cornhuskers won every Spring Game in America when they allowed 7-year old cancer patient Jack Hoffman to enter the game as a running back and score a 69-yard touchdown as 60,000 fans screamed him on. The players hoisted Jack onto their shoulders and celebrated with him in one of the most touching sports moments that we’ll witness this year.

Well, the moment isn’t ending anytime soon, not if the folks at Upper Deck have anything to say about it. And they do, because the company has made Jack his very own rookie card, and not without an incredible message of inspiration to go along with it.

“Jack is the type of inspirational athlete who absolutely deserves an Upper Deck rookie card,” said Chris Carlin, Upper Deck’s sports marketing manager. “Upper Deck does not want to risk Jack’s amateur status with the NCAA, so the card we created will not be part of a mainstream trading card release.” (Via CBS Sports)

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this card is way more valuable than Kate Upton’s trading card.

Also, the 1,600-plus people who have disliked this video can go live in Bosnia.
