Alison Brie Is Responsible For All Of The Toronto Blue Jays’ Good Fortune

The Toronto Blue Jays have been languishing in last place in the American League East for, well, pretty much the entire season, as they’ve been the odd team out in a four-way race for the crown in baseball’s best division. But after a less-than-stellar trip to the left coast for two interleague series, something changed. I don’t know what it was, because I don’t do things like read or research, but the Blue Jays took two of three from the Texas Rangers and split two games with the Chicago White Sox before peeling off 11-consecutive wins heading into last night’s 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Despite their streak being snapped, the Jays have climbed above .500 and are now within 5.5 games of the first place Boston Red Sox with Jose Reyes set to come off the DL and re-join the team this week. And I could sit here and heap praise on Adam Lind and Edwin Encarnacion for being the catalysts of a stagnant offense, or I could single out Josh Johnson’s sudden upswing as the call for optimism within the troubled pitching staff.

But I’d rather just give all of the credit to Alison Brie for wearing a Blue Jays hat.

After all, it gives me the chance to post this very important GIF, and that’s the most important thing that I’ll probably do today.
