UFC 174 is coming to us live, from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Before we jump into the the break down of what’s going on when and where, take a moment to peruse the With Leather Staff Predictions. They are scientifically proven to be funnier, more charming, and the most accurate mixed martial arts picks as presented by a comedy sports blog. Now, on to the whoms, whences, and where for art thous of the this event!

The first chunk of prelims will be on Fight Pass at 7:00 PM ET. There’s a double-debut fight between a saggy Jason and a shocking Josh, plus Roland Delorme is fighting. I know him, and he’s usually pretty good.

Due to WEIRD SCHEDULING STUFF, the bulk of the prelims will be on FX at 8:00 PM ET instead of Fox Sports One. There’s some good-ish fights here, as Yves Jabouin versus Mike Easton could be neato. There’s also a women’s bantamweight fight betwixt Valerie Letourneau and Elizabeth Phillips, and they both like to throw leather, so that should probably be a fun lady-scrap.

The main card is on pay-per-view (Don’t steal fights, dagnabbit!), beginning at 10:00 PM ET. Other than the Bader versus Cavalcante fight, which I still think has potential, the rest of the fights look pretty swell to me. St. Preux and Jimmo have the potential for fireworks, and if Arlovski or Schaub both survive without either man taking an unexpected nap, I’ll be all sorts of surprised. The co-main event has title implications since Robbie Lawler will be meeting Matt Brown for a bit of the old ultraviolence later this year. That means either Rory MacDonald or Tyron Woodley are likely going to be Johny Hendricks’ next opponent, and title eliminator fights are usually pretty neat!

Finally, we’re at the main event, a flyweight title fight between reigning champ Demetrious Johnson and the challenger from the mean everywhere of Dagestan, Ali Bagautinov. Johnson is basically the fastest dude ever in the octagon (He is pretty much Vitor Belfort’s hand speed turned into a person), while Bagautinov is a super-tough guy, and hopefully he didn’t peak in his fight last week against training partner and fellow-Dagestani, Rustam Khabilov. I’m confident that this fight will be at least twenty different kinds of awesome, so try not to blink when the tiniest dudes throw down!
