There Was A Huge Brawl At A Texas High Football Game, And The Video Is Crazy

It’s not uncommon for fights to break out on the football field. It is, however, rare when a fight lasts an entire minute with players emptying the bench.

Such was the case on Friday night when Westfield and Spring, two high schools in Texas, got into a brouhaha that had law enforcement involved. At one point, there were hundreds of people on the field, some of whom were acting as peacekeepers, others as instigators.

There were no injuries or arrests, and according to KHOU, no one knows what sparked the fight. The school district has issued a statement.

“Spring ISD is investigating the incident that occurred at Friday night’s football game between the Spring and Westfield teams. The behavior displayed on the field does not represent our expectations for good sportsmanship and conduct. We will be working with the (University Interscholastic League) to determine appropriate sanctions and recourse.”
