Liz Gigliotti, a diehard New York Giants fan, was getting set to marry her fiance Dave, but there was only one problem: he supported the New England Patriots.
Instead of doing the correct move and canceling the wedding altogether, Gigliotti opted for a more rational route and decided to troll her soon-t0-be husband at their wedding by making their cake feature Tom Brady in a dress and high heels, standing on top of a deflated football with a sad Patriots logo. She made sure the wedding photographer got a few good snapshots of it as well.
While this could have had disastrous results, thankfully for Liz, Dave seemed to take it all in stride once he saw the cake during their big day.
You have to give credit to Dave for not overreacting here, but you also have to give props to the pastry chef who had to have been scratching their head when the request came in to make a four-time Super Bowl winner into a pretty lady on a cake, but they really put their heart into it.
No word on if Gigliotti “accidentally” put tapes of Super Bowl XLII and XLVI on when they went to re-watch the ceremony.
