It may be bloated, overlong and virtually obsolete, but gosh darn it, it still means something to us. No, it’s not the holiday season (Okay, well it’s kind of the holiday season)… it’s Bowl Season, baby! Last year, the new College Football Playoff was a roaring success, even as it highlighted the meaninglessness of the bowl system for the general public. (For the players, it will always be a nice reward for a pretty-good-to-damn-good season that otherwise fell short in the zero-sum game of college football.) This year promises more of the same, so start marking those calendars. All times Eastern.
