Playboy Finally Settled A Lawsuit From That Golf Stunt Gone Horribly Wrong With A Model

In March of 2012, Playboy model Liz Dickson allowed a radio host to hit a golf ball off her body. It was a bad idea, mostly because the tee was placed in her butt cheeks. Also, the man swinging the club wasn’t very good at golf. It resulted in some bruising, among other things because getting hit with a golf club isn’t something that’s fun. Unsurprisingly, Dickson sued Playboy Enterprises because of the trauma she suffered. She asked for “$500,000, medical expenses, and punitive damages.”

The language in the lawsuit was pretty specific, claiming host Kevin Klein was negligent in the “golf tee in butt stunt,” and that he was never supposed to swing the club in the first place:

“At the direction of the defendants and early on at the event, Plaintiff (Dickson) was requested to lie down and pose for a photograph with defendant Kevin Klein. The photograph was supposed to depict the Plaintiff lying flat on her stomach with her buttocks partially exposed. A golf tee was then placed between the cheeks of her buttocks and a golf ball was balanced on top of the tee. It was then expected that defendant Kevin Klein was to stand over the Plaintiff with a golf club poised to hit the ball be photographed.”

But that’s not what happened, obviously.

Video of the unfortunate incident emerged in 2014 (you can see it here), all but assuring Dickson a victory in court. But the lawsuit stretched on for another 20 months. Finally on Monday, Liz Dickson’s lawyer told an L.A. judge that a settlement had been reached. No details were provided.

This is a good time to remind people that letting someone hit a golf ball from a part of your body is an unwise decision. Also, don’t put a golf tee in your butt and expect an amateur to make solid contact. That’s not smart.
