Byron Maxwell Guarantees That The Eagles Will Go To The Super Bowl

It’s the NFL offseason, which means everyone is undefeated and flaming hot sports predictions can be made without consequence. In other words, everyone is going to the Super Bowl, you guys.

New Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive back Byron Maxwell knows a thing or two about what it takes to get to the Super Bowl after spending the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. It’s no surprise, then, that he feels confident about his team’s chances of reaching the big game this season. Speaking with Jenny Vrentas of Monday Morning Quarterback, Maxwell clearly laid out his expectations.

The first time Maxwell brought up the Super Bowl was when he was asked about what he brings to the Eagles:

Experience. Because I’ve been there before. Knowing what it’s like if we go that far. Because we’re gonna go that far this year—meaning the playoffs and the Super Bowl. We’re gonna go that far. Hopefully that experience I already had, I can help them.

Later in the interview, Maxwell went all the way with the “G” word regarding the Eagles’ Super Bowl chances:

You can take that as a guarantee. That’s just me believing in my team and the product we’re going to put out there on the field. I really do believe that. I have no choice but to think that way.

So there you have it. Go ahead and place your appropriate bets now*.

(*No, wait. Don’t. Stop it. Stop it now.)
