Ronda Rousey Is Now The Most Drug-Tested Fighter In The UFC

After years of severe under-testing by government commissions and a disastrous brief window where they tried to handle things by themselves, the UFC has finally handed their drug testing over to USADA. The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency kicked off their system of random Olympic-style blood testing back in July, and have now released their first report on who they’ve collected samples from.

Interestingly, the most tested person on the UFC roster is women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. She has been tested five times since July, with three other fighters being tested four times. Overall, 50 fighters have been tested 81 times, and the specifics can be looked at a special UFC USADA page. But to make things even easier, here’s how testing has broken down so far (via Bloody Elbow):

Tested 5 times: Ronda Rousey

Tested 4 times: Thiago Alves, Bethe Correia, Antonio Silva

Tested 3 times: Anthony Johnson, Jimi Manuwa

Tested 2 times: Jose Aldo, Andrei Arlovski, Daniel Cormier, Todd Duffee, Cezar Ferreira, Claudia Gadelha, Alexander Gustafsson, Hayder Hassan, Michael Johnson, Cristiane Justino, Conor McGregor, Frank Mir, Dustin Poirier, Kamaru Usman

Tested 1 time: Corey Anderson, Ryan Bader, Josh Barnett, Vitor Belfort, Jan Blachowicz, Tom Breese, Chico Camus, Alex Chambers, John Dodson, Rashad Evans, Paul Felder, Uriah Hall, Dan Henderson, Johny Hendricks, Max Holloway, Kyoji Horiguchi, Demetrious Johnson, Chad Laprise, Neil Magny, Takeya Mizugaki, Gegard Mousasi, Roy Nelson, Ross Pearson, George Roop, Erick Silva, Tony Sims, Tecia Torres, Francisco Trinaldo, Paige VanZant, Tyron Woodley

For years, there’s been no way to conclusively declare that fighters in the UFC weren’t on performance enhancing drugs. The original urine tests used — often only administered on fight night — were so laughably easy to punk that it often only caught fighters who accidentally took steroids in supplements or with medication. Now we’ve got a growing list of fighters who have been through multiple random blood-testing procedures. For the first time, you can rely on the claim that these fighters are clean.

Especially Ronda Rousey, who has been tested five times and hasn’t had a positive result yet.
