Serena Williams Crushed ‘Under The Sea’ At Karaoke And Did Her Best Sebastian Impression

Serena Williams is preparing for perhaps the biggest tournament of her life with the forthcoming 2015 U.S. Open. If she wins the tourney, she will be the first player, man or woman, to complete a Grand Slam in a calendar year since Steffi Graf in 1988 and the seventh person ever. So, obviously, with this huge accomplishment at hand, Serena is training and preparing in the exact way we would expect her to… by singing karaoke songs at a U.S. Open pre-party, obviously.

The WTA No. 1 ranked player in the world decided to take things down where it’s wetter with a rousing rendition of “Under the Sea,” and blissfully, she decided to have someone record it for her and upload it to her Facebook. It has to be strange when you’re someone so important and famous that people are going to cheer for you either way, but, luckily, she gets really into it and it turned out pretty great.

Also, not stopping there, Serena felt she was on a roll and joined in on some Boyz II Men “Motownphilly.”

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to the part that’s all “Un doo-doo da da, Un doo-doo da da, dayayaya da da, da da, ahhh ahhh oohhhhhhh.” Look, if you’ve heard the song, you know what I mean.

Still, it’s good to see the champ blow off some steam, and hopefully she’ll be ready to steamroll her competition when the U.S. Open starts on August 31.
