Chris Rock Is Coming Back To Host ‘SNL’ With Prince Joining Him As Musical Guest

Lorne Michaels is keeping it all in the family, at least when it comes to picking the celebrity hosts for Saturday Night Live. After tapping former cast member Bill Hader to helm last week’s episode, the show announced today it had lined up another alum for the current season. The sketch comedy series broke the news via Twitter this afternoon that funny man Chris Rock will take up hosting duties for the Nov. 1st episode alongside musical guest Prince:

This isn’t the first time Rock has returned to his comedy roots — he hosted once before back in 1996 — and Prince has proven he’s no rookie when it comes to SNL either — he performed twice on the show, the most recent being in 2006, and while everyone’s freaking out with excitement over this afternoon’s lineup announcement, a quick look at Prince’s Twitter feed earlier today should’ve given us some clues that the pairing was in the works:
