David Letterman clearly picked up Stephen Colbert’s beard on his way out of the hosting seat at The Late Show. The former late night host and current retiree made a special surprise appearance with Steve Martin and Martin Short at a show in San Antonio on Friday, saying he enjoyed his retirement up until one particular moment: Donald Trump’s presidential announcement.
Letterman then whipped out a top ten list from his suit and began to list off ten facts about Donald Trump, just like you’d probably hear on his version of The Late Show right about now. Then he posed for a selfie with Martin and Short before flying off into the night, probably to smoke cigars and ponder the whereabouts of Paul Shaffer. Check out the full appearance below.
