Kevin James Is Bringing His One-Of-A-Kind Hijinks Back To Television

Actor, comedian, and portly Segway rider Kevin James looks to be making his triumphant return to the small screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the King of Queens and Paul Blart: Mall Cop star is currently closing a deal with Sony Pictures Television to return to television.

The King of Queens alum has inked a two-year first-look deal with the studio behind the CBS comedy, the studio announced Wednesday. Additionally, the comedian currently starring in the sequel to Paul Blart: Mall Cop on the big screen and has renewed his first-look deal with studio Columbia Pictures that keeps him in the fold through 2017.

On the TV side, the SPT deal calls for James and his Hey Eddie Productions banner to produce television series, including a sitcom in which he would star.

While the prospect of another King of Queens-style sitcom might sound good to some fans, the only thing James connoisseurs desire is BLART, BLART and more BLART. I mean, who wouldn’t want 22 episodes of man-on-bird hijinks? James has perfected the round-guy shtick to almost Belushian levels (John, not Jim). If Blart fans don’t get their quota of the 3 F’s (fart, fat and falling) every week, would life be worth living?
