A Notre Dame Tutor Is Being Accused Of Pressuring Athletes Into Having Sex With Her Daughter

A new lawsuit filed by a student at Notre Dame who was on an athletic scholarship is alleging that a female academic coach manipulated basketball and football players into having sex with her daughter in exchange for academic favors, according to The New York Daily News.

The unidentified student is claiming that the tutor would “orchestrate sexually and racially motivated trysts” with her daughter by supplying things such as condoms and hotel rooms.

The alleged relationship did not begin until he sought tutoring lessons during this year’s spring semester. Those lessons quickly escalated to out-of-state sexual rendezvous between her daughter and the student.

She would later interrogate him about the “nature, frequency, and quality of the sexual activities” they had, the lawsuit claims, badgering him with “racially-charged comments about his sexual prowess and genitalia.”

He believes the coach was preying on other African-American student athletes as well.

If that already isn’t a weird enough story, the student filing the lawsuit is claiming that when he tried to end the relationship, the tutor tried to convert him to Catholicism and attempted to refer him to counseling in order to “medicate Plaintiff John Doe to keep him passive, cooperative, and under control.”

Notre Dame, for their part, completely dismissed the lawsuit and is claiming it to be nothing more than a publicity stunt. As the school spokesman Paul Browne told The South Bend Tribune:

“The allegations against the University of Notre Dame in the complaint are unfounded. As are gratuitous and unfounded references to ‘student athletes’ — an allegation that is nothing more than a cynical attempt to attract publicity.”

In the wake of a very similar story coming out of Louisville, this would obviously be a huge deal if it were proven to be true and an even bigger deal if Mike Brey and/or Brian Kelly had any knowledge of it occurring, but we’re still several steps away from that at this point.

The student who filed the lawsuit is demanding that Notre Dame honor his athletic scholarship while they conduct an investigation but, considering that Notre Dame is taking the stance that he is completely full of it, that seems unlikely.
