A Woman Parodied Engagement And Baby Announcements By Posing With A Job Offer

The majority of people know what it feels like when you log onto Facebook hoping for the an easy way to distract yourself from work or procrastinate a big project, only to be confronted with every major life update from all of your family and friends. How many engagements, weddings, and new pregnancies can there possibly be in any given week? One woman decided to respond to the endless stream of cutesy social media announcements with a photoshoot of her own, and results are great.

Benita Abraham finally got an amazing job offer for her dream job after seven months hunting for a new gig. To celebrate, she went down to the beach and staged a series of pictures with the offer letter, cute affirmations painted on little chalkboards just like you see on Pinterest, and even a timeline of her interview process and first day with the company. Benita’s first day was just this week so there’s plenty of time for her to offer updates in the same style such as “First Promotion!” instead of first child and “First Office Happy Hour” instead of honeymoon pics. Now that she’s shown the world her excited reaction to such a momentous occasion, it’s only fair she takes us along on the entire ride.
