A Pork Roll Company Allegedly Fired A Man Whose Farts Were Smellier Than Pork Rolls

The wife of a New Jersey man seeks relief for her husband’s toxic farts, but it’s not what you’re thinking. Louann Clemm is suing a Trenton pork roll maker, who she says wrongfully fired her husband, Richard. Both spouses worked together at Case Pork Roll Co., and Louann filed a discrimination lawsuit, which falls under the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (as well as the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination).

According to the suit, Richard cannot help his odor because his gastric bypass surgery renders him powerless against “extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea.” As such, he lets fly so often that he is effectively disabled under an obesity disability. Everybody farts, but Richard’s stink is so powerful that it overpowers the scent of pork rolls. The suit says Case president Thomas Dolan came to Louann with a plea:

“We have to do something about Rich. This can’t go on. We can’t run an office and have visitors with the odor in the office.”

Dolan’s complaints reportedly continued for months until the company finally let Richard go. Louann left the job as well because she was so disgusted with the company’s “harassment and discrimination.” Now she’s stuck at home with a toxic-farting husband, so it’s no wonder she wants relief.
