Earlier in the week I almost choked on my Mexican tacos like a f*ckin’ dickhead when Maske introduced us all to “Eastbound & Downton Abbey,” the TV mashup Tumblr to end all TV mashup Tumblrs. As Maske noted, “the concept of mashing together lines from the crudest, white trashiest show on television with images from a series that chronicles aristocrats in the early 20th century” appealed to me. And the way the two names of the shows merge so seamlessly make it even more perfect.
Apparently, our friends at Funny Or Die were paying attention and have put together a hilarious reel of clips from both shows to create a mashup trailer, if you will, for “Eastbound & Downton.” I think being able to actually hear and see Kenny Powers spouting ridiculous lines and just generally being a jackass takes the concept to another comedic level. In other words, I laughed my arse off watching this and I think you will too. Enjoy…
