If you’re an American that would like to have Donald Trump put a diaper on you, we have some potentially devastating news. The GOP frontrunner isn’t having it.

Buzzfeed has dug through interviews of yore and discovered that The Donald has a philosophy when it comes to changing diapers. That’s apparently a no go for the White House Hopeful. He was asked point blank in the mid-00s on the Opie and Anthony Show (time’s weird, man) whether or not he’s handled that messy business as a dad. His response?

The then 59-year-old businessman, whose wife Melania was pregnant with his fifth child and her first, responded bluntly: “No, I don’t do that.”

“There’s a lot of women out there that demand that the husband act like the wife and you know there’s a lot of husbands that listen to that,” Trump added. “So you know, they go for it.”

“If I had different type of wife,” Trump said laughing, “I probably wouldn’t have a baby, ya know, cause that’s not my thing. I’m really like a great father but certain things you do and certain things you don’t. It’s just not for me.”

Cleaning up a recently soiled infant is hardly anyone’s idea of a thrilling Saturday night, we’ll give Trump that. The whole “a lot of women out there that demand that the husband act like the wife” thing is a smidge harder to defend and seems likely to pop up in an opponent’s ad in the future. For those of you scoring at home, Trump is the father to five children and presumably kept a healthy distance from their diaper filling.

The stockpile of interviews that Buzzfeed has dove into is pretty interesting and also includes Donald Trump’s 2003 appearance on Howard Stern offering some details on what happened when he discovered Marla Maples was carrying his child. Did Trump give Maples a reaction of ‘Well, what are we going to do about this?’ when the pregnancy news dropped? You’re darn tootin’, he did.

“She said, ‘Oh, are you serious? This is the most beautiful day of our lives,’” Trump said Maples responded.

“I said, ‘Oh great.’ So I said, ‘Do you want to get married?’”

Trump and Maples would marry two months after the birth of their daughter Tiffany and then separate a few years later.
