Only a few days have passed since Hillary Clinton abruptly departed a 9/11 Ground Zero ceremony, and she took a few much needed days off. There’s little doubt that Clinton felt terrible when she grew “overheated” before stumbling and nearly collapsing, and her team had to work overtime to diffuse the situation after being less than forthcoming. In addition to the conspiracy theories already at work, there was legitimate concern that something was wrong, and then a pneumonia diagnosis emerged.

Now and as promised, Clinton’s team has released more medical information in a statement from Clinton’s doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack: “She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest. She continues to remain healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States.” Bardack has served as Clinton’s longtime physician, and the letter reveals another confirmation about how the Democratic nominee was diagnosed last Friday with pneumonia. Specifically, this was “a mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia” for which she was treated with Levaquin.

In addition, Bardack revealed that Clinton’s up on her vaccinations, has normal mammogram results, and is taking a handful of medications — Armor Thyroid, Coumadin, Levaquin, Clarinex — along with vitamin B-12. In the end, Bardack declares that her patient is “in excellent mental condition” and “fit to serve as President of the United States.” Clinton will return to the campaign trail on Thursday, and bizarrely, Donald Trump will appear in a pre-taped episode of Dr. Oz, where he will reportedly declare his wild arm waving to be exercise. Man, this election season is weird.
