Last week on Arrow, we had a surprise Under The Dome crossover when it turned out Thea was trapped, well, you know where, in a cheery little suburb that is supposed to be insulated against nuclear attack. So we all know what that means: Time for a little urban renewal, WarGames-style!
Considering next week’s episode is called “Lost In The Flood,” we’re guessing that dome doesn’t stay up very long. As for why Darhk is nuking the world, either he believes that the world is rotten and only by starting over can humanity redeem itself, or he’s just taking Bond villain cosplay to the ultimate extreme. Besides, Starling City has maybe five people still living there. We’d all feel bad but we wouldn’t miss it much. Ollie can start over in Opal or something, and Diggle can finally just be a househusband. Granted, making the upcoming season five just Ollie hanging out in STAR Labs, helping Cisco invent new stuff and drinking beer, wouldn’t be exciting. But we’d probably still watch anyway.
Either way, we’ll find out just whether or not Ollie fails this city on the most catastrophic level possible tonight at 8 p.m. EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
