Hey folks, do you like Resident Evil? I hope so, because I’ve got a whole lotta Resident Evil stuff for you. First up — Capcom released the first official trailer for Resident Evil 6 last night.

A lot of stuff happens in the trailer, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t really understand what was going on for much of it, but the major points are these — the two main RE protagonists Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield are finally in a major RE game together, it looks like zombies are actually back for reals this time, and the thing’s coming out in late 2012.

Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump…

Not bad eh? Well, we’re not done with Resident Evil-related trailers yet. A new teaser trailer for the next RE move, Resident Evil: Retribution was officially released yesterday as well. Not quite as exciting as the full reveal of a new game, but give ‘er a look all the same won’t you?

You know, it’s funny, back when the first RE movie (which wasn’t half bad in my opinion) came out it was criticized for being too slick and action-movie like, but with each new entry the video game series seems to be creeping closer and closer to the style of the movies. Guess there’s a reason they fired George Romero from the first movie and yet have let Paul W. S. Anderson make five straight RE flicks — this is what they wanted for the series all along. That’s not a criticism, just an observation — I think both the game and movie look good.

But wait, we’re not done yet! For those of you out there who own a 3DS, yesterday Capcom also released a demo of the upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations. Yes, that’s right, a demo for a full-priced retail game on a Nintendo system. The demo’s only about 20-minutes long, but the game seems super promising. I recommend checking it out.

Phew, okay that’s it. Really. I mean, there’s probably some news out there about that Operation Raccoon City multiplayer gamer, but come on, do you really care? I don’t. Okay then.
