Living with roommates is a rite of passage for many of us. Some of us discover close friends or at least people we can hang out with. Others of us discover human beings can be terrible and take our stuff. And then, well, then there’s Ter, the star of Koren Shadmi’s The Abaddon.
According to Z2 Comics:
…Ter, finds himself trapped in an otherworldly apartment with a group of dysfunctional, ill-matched roommates. Ter is aghast to discover that his new, grotesque reality is not governed by the laws of nature, and that his roommates are missing critical chunks of their memories and identities — as is he.
If that sounds familiar, the story is based on the classic No Exit. Which, come to think of it, might actually be based on Sartre’s roommates. See how it translates for yourself…
