Last week on Arrow, we learned it’s all going back to the beginning, as Ollie learns Adrian has taken everyone Ollie loves to Lian Yu, the island he was stranded on, and was supposedly rescued from, five years ago. So while Ollie hums “It’s All Coming Back To Me”, let’s take stock of the season!
Season five was uneven. Ollie being mayor definitely had its moments, but they needed to commit more to the idea overall, and the show’s attempt to get political needed some work. And Prometheus as a character needed more focus and his big reveal to come faster. On the other hand, the action scenes have been some of the best the series has produced, and the return of snarky Felicity, who offers her own distinct brand of superheroism, was hugely welcome. They even dealt with the sexual tension the smart way, namely by chugging wine and having bunker sex.
So, how will this wrap up? Will Ollie’s kid survive? Will Captain Boomerang ever get an apology for being locked up so he could be played by Jai Courtney in a movie? Will we learn who Vigilante is? We’ll find out tonight at 8pm EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
