PARK CITY, Utah – Keira Knightley’s character Megan in Sundance flick “Laggies” experiences a quarter-life freak-out that sends her flying into the arms of her new best friend: a teenaged girl. The latter is played by Chloe Moretz and, frankly, the English actress found it easy to be BFFs with Moretz on screen.
“She’s such a lovely girl, it was very very easy,” she told HitFix on the red carpet to “Laggies” at its opening night at the fest.
Knightley said the story to the Lynn Shelton-directed film was “fun” and depicted what she figures every twenty-something (maybe older) goes through.
What everybody may not do at 28? Break Mark Webber’s heart. Or at least his character’s.
“What a lovely man. And I’m so horrible to him in the film,” she warned.
