When it comes to summer TV fare, The CW isn”t just getting even, it”s getting MAD.
The network today announced the cast for its reboot of MADtv. The sketch comedy program will feature eight up-and-comers, four men and four women, to star in the show”s skits. The cast includes Carlie Craig, Chelsea Davison, Jeremy D. Howard, Amir K, Lyric Lewis, Piotr Michael, Michelle Ortiz and Adam Ray. The network also said that some of its past stars will make guest appearances in the upcoming season. As far as who that might be, that remains a mystery.
MADtv aired on FOX from 1995-2009. The Emmy-winning series propelled the careers of Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Artie Lange among others.
The network has ordered eight episodes of MADtv. It makes its debut July 26 at 9 ET/PT.
