Looking back on it, the central themes of “The Incredibles” are pretty heavy for a kid's movie. Of course, packaging serious questions about identity, responsibility, and loss into easy to digest family fare is kind of Pixar's bit.
But in the hands of a less subtle company, like say Warner Bros., the darkness of super villain Syndrome is thrown into stark relief.
