Taco Bell Has Come Up With A Jalapeno Popper Quesarito

Oh, T-Bell. You know the things we crave at 2 a.m. before we even crave them. Need examples? How about that Cheetos Crunchwrap Slider? Or the heavily-hyped Quesalupa? But wait — the eggheads in product development aren’t done scheming yet. Because the latest thing to hit the menu is the new Jalapeño Popper Quesarito.

As far as we can tell, the Jalapeño Popper Quesarito is Taco Bell’s attempt to integrate the delightful cheesy heat of a jalapeño popper into its already-popular Quesarito. Which means that, not only will your taste buds find themselves tickled by the familiar stuffing of rice, cheese, sour cream, and nacho cheese bundled together inside a flour tortilla, but they’ll also be delighted by the addition of sliced jalapeños and cheese. And don’t forget that you also get your choice of meat: according to Brand Eating, the beef-filled Jalapeño Popper Quesarito retails for $2.49, while the steak goes for $3.29. A shredded chicken option is also available.

Put down your car keys, though — unless you live in Charlotte, North Carolina, the product’s current test market, you aren’t currently able to wrap your lips around one. Sorry to ruin your day. Here’s hoping Charlotte puts the seal of approval on the new menu item and Taco Bell releases it nationwide. In the meantime, we’ll just have to figure out how to replicate it at home.
