Donald Glover is getting too old for this Community sh*t, so he’s focusing his attention elsewhere, specifically on his rap career as Childish Gambino. Glover’s only set to appear in five episodes of the most dramatic NBC sitcom ever, giving him time to record tracks like “Centipede,” a six-minute atmospheric slow burner that ends in a bass-pumping spoken-word rant of an outro. Me, I prefer Gambino’s early material, when he was singing about Jewish mice with his heterosexual life partner in a community college, but this ain’t bad, either.
