There is nothing/no one in life as superficially happy as a stock photo model — they’re the human version of a fluorescent light. Indie rock band Darwin Deez took advantage of their soullessness in the music video for “You Can’t Be My Girl,” which shows frontman Darwin Smith talking to dozens of women who he’s in love with, at such keyword friendly locales as a bowling alley and birthday party, but never actually revealing his attraction to them.
It’s a great idea, and now I’m wondering how to incorporate the footage of the naked lady sitting on her equally nude man — not doing anything, mind you, but just sitting there — into my everyday life. That, and Darwin’s hair.
