The opening night of the “Formation World Tour” in Miami on Wednesday began with a fitting tribute to Beyonce’s late musical predecessor Prince. Unfortunately, the massive concert series has already hit its first major snag, as show promoter Live Nation announced on Friday that the upcoming Thursday, May 5 performance in Nashville has been postponed until further notice. No concrete reason was given at the time, but according to rumors bubbling on Twitter, Bey might have pulled out of Tennessee because of a disagreement with the venue.

Entertainment Weekly reported Live Nation’s initial press release, which simply stated that Beyonce’s Nashville date had been canceled for the time being. According to the promoter:

Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event.

Scheduled stops in Atlanta, Raleigh, North Carolina and Houston were still set to go off without a hitch, but Nashville — which fell between these concerts — was off the table for the moment. Otherwise, no other information was provided by either Live Nation or Beyonce’s representatives.

However, according to the fan account Formation World Tour on Twitter, the May 5 Nashville performance was postponed due to issues with Nissan Stadium. They claimed the information about the announced delay was due to “stadium construction,” and that said information was coming from Ticket Master.

Neither Live Nation, Beyonce or Ticket Master have confirmed whether or not these rumored construction issues were to blame for the cancellation. In an email sent to Nashville ticket holders, fans were told their “event is still happening, but at a feature date yet to be announced.”
